Well, it's a pretty typical Dave story. I'd finished the bulk of my work in Shanghai some time ago. I'd been looking for my next job for months. My Shanghai contract was finishing March 31st. On March 30th, the movers came and packed my apartment with orders to ship my stuff back to California. I was taking a long weekend for golf in Thailand with some friends prior to returning. So, I was sitting in my empty apartment the morning of March 31st....one suitcase, one set of golf clubs and my laptop....last day in Shanghai...getting ready to head for the airport...oh, yah, speaking of my head...a little pained from the previous evenings farewell celebrations with my buddies. So, I download email one last time before leaving.....drum roll please....job offer....in the Philippines. Called the movers..rerouted the shipment to Manila and....
The last month has been pretty hectic....vacation in Thailand, househunting in Manila, meetings in Arizona, California, Penang and Singapore, moving to Manila....and now I'm sitting in the den of my house looking at .....

Some more good news.....many of you
know that my Mom was a pretty sick lady in January due to a series of compounding health
problems. She toughed it through a pretty rough month in the hospital which included
two surgeries to repair bleeding ulcers. She's now recovered and doing quite
well. Thanks to all of you for your thoughts, prayers and support during that
tough time.
