Dave Says "Farewell to Intel"
Wow.....half my life...that's how long I've spent at Intel. I started in 1980, fresh out of college. My major motivation at the time for choosing Intel ? Taking that job got me out of the snow belt and into California. Little did I realize what else it would get me into.

Let's see...a hardworking , stressful, high tech place where results are everything. We got a lot done. I've been on teams which started new products, new packages, new technologies, new departments, new factories, new methods, new partnerships and probably some other new stuff that I don't remember. With all this new stuff, it was rarely dull.
"Intel's bin berry berry gud to me." Intel funded my MBA. They've sent me all over the world. They gave me a couple of sabaticals where I saw several other parts of the world. Intel's been generous with stock that has performed amazingly well. Thanks to that, I now can afford to take some time off.
Most important are the people I've worked with at Intel. Intel folks are driven, hardworking and often brilliant. They accomplish some pretty great things and are always stimulating to work with. Many Intel folks are among my best friends in life. We've worked hard, played hard (ok, drunk hard & fought hard too) and have had many great times together.
Thanks to my many travels, I now have friends scattered around the world. My plan is to spend the foreseeable future traveling, visiting friends, golfing, and generally having fun. At some, not to distant point, I imagine I'll settle down somewhere. For now, that place and time is "to be determined". (Stay tuned to these pages for further developments ; )
So for now, it's "Hello world" and "See ya, Intel". It's been fun . It's been real. Sometimes, it's even been real fun.
